Nicole Contreras is a graduate of New Jersey City University with a BA in English and a BFA in Fine Arts (2011). She has also earned an M.Div. in Bible and Theology (2020) from Alliance Theological Seminary in Manhattan where she was awarded the Beth Kamphausen award. She was a member of Woodcliff Reformed Church where she helped to co-lead music ministry. Later, she transferred membership to Grove Church where she would complete her ministry internship under the guidance of mentor Rev. Kirsten Shelper-Ross and Rev. Dr. Steve Germoso. As of 2023, she fulfilled all the requirements and examinations necessary for licensing through both the MFCA and the Classis of the Greater Palisades. Nicole was born and raised in Hudson County, NJ to parents of Cuban, Venezuelan, and Palestinian descent. She has a passion for reading and publishes a podcast for book lovers in her spare time.
Ciro Romero is a graduate of New Jersey City University with a BFA in Fine Arts (2008). He earned an M. Div. in Bible and Theology New Testament in 2020 from Alliance Theological Seminary in Manhattan alongside his wife Nicole. He attended Woodcliff Reformed Church in North Bergen where he helped to co-lead a music ministry team. He completed his ministry internship with Nicole at Grove Church in North Bergen under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Steve Germoso where he was first given pulpit supply experience. He completed all necessary requisites for licensing through MFCA and the Classis of the Greater Palisades in 2023. Ciro is a child of Salvadoran parents and has grown up and lived in Hudson County, NJ all his life. He has a passion for drawing and occasionally does freelance illustration work. He also works as an ESL tutor at Hudson County Community College where he helps students read, write, speak, and understand English. He and Nicole have been married since 2014 and live with their daughter in North Bergen.
