Nicole Contreras is a graduate of New Jersey City University with a BA in English and a BFA in Fine Arts (2011). She has also earned an M.Div. in Bible and Theology (2020) from Alliance Theological Seminary in Manhattan where she was awarded the Beth Kamphausen award. She was a member of Woodcliff Reformed Church where she helped to co-lead music ministry. Later, she transferred membership to Grove Church where she would complete her ministry internship under the guidance of mentor Rev. Kirsten Shelper-Ross and Rev. Dr. Steve Germoso. As of 2023, she fulfilled all the requirements and examinations necessary for licensing through both the MFCA and the Classis of the Greater Palisades. Nicole was born and raised in Hudson County, NJ to parents of Cuban, Venezuelan, and Palestinian descent. She has a passion for reading and publishes a podcast for book lovers in her spare time.
